Would YOU get married in a nightclub…? Because Frances and Carlos hosted their celebration at the iconic downtown San Diego hotel The Pendry in Oxford Social Club and it was INCREDIBLE! So unique, dramatic, sexy, and SO them. This was definitely a first for me - I can confidently say I’ve never shot getting-ready photos as the sun was setting (which were some of my most-liked photos on Instagram of all time so you all really loved those) - it was a freaking stunning view seeing the sunset behind Frances as she was getting dressed. Then the rest of the wedding was shot entirely in the dark with a good mix of LED lights, off-camera flash, and some fun filmy direct flash. This wedding pushed me SO much and I definitely had to bust out some lighting chops I don’t always have to use and the results were soooo rewarding. I am obsessed with these images and now obsessed with the idea of getting married in a night club because omg!!!! SEXY, DREAMY, ICONIC PARTY. It felt very speakeasy, art deco, prohibition-era GLAM and it was epic.
